Anyone have PVD finished anything?

I have never owned a 1911.......Pros / cons?
I'm a Sig fan but have always carried a single/double with no safety and a de-cocker.
Never liked how far forward the slide release was when you add a safety.

I recently got a 1911, the Colt Combat Unit Rail Gun in .45 ACP. It has an Ion Bond finish.

I have been a Kimber fan for years. The 1911 is a classic.... like a Randall.

I’ve tried carrying many autos: SIG, S&W... I always, always go back to a 1911. Always. I’ve owned several since 1995.

Hard to go wrong.

Gun speaks for itself; owners as well. I've settled on a few other platforms I feel more adapted to; nothing but praise for the 1911.

The only 1911 I owned prior to the CCURG, was a ParaOrdnance P13 .45 ACP.

I have had this one since Jan 1970.Started out life as a Basic
Remington Rand.Gave the Army back their's late 69.Carried and shot it stock for years.Then Ken Lambert did his magic to it about 20 years ago.
