So we have a 1911 thread running now and those guys are having way too much fun. I believe in the Glock platform and think it's the most popular striker fired pistol hands down. I like the simplicity, easy take down, flawless function, and in some cases easy conversion possibilities.
Only thing I demand is better sights. Mine have at least night or day/ night upgrades. Everything else is stock with internal polished parts, stock springs.
It takes time to master the short reset trigger but I like it alot.
Heres three of mine:
First is a Gen 3 G20, OD Green frame; TruGlo day/ night sights with a Glock 6" hunter barrel. Also shown is the stock barrel and a S&W .40 aftermarket for inexpensive plinking. Same magazine for all.
Second is a Gen 2.5 G27 in 40 S&W. Trijicon sights.
Lastly is a Gen 3 G30, Trijicon, sights, Crimson Trace laser grips, rail mounted light.

Nope.....tried.
just can't shoot them at a level I can other guns!
Not dogging the glock, it's just not a comfortable gun for me to shoot.

It was not for me either when I got my first gun a Glock 19. I ditched it after a few 1000 wasted rounds. Then I gave it another shot in a #17 and it's been perfect ever since. I carry a 27 with .357 SIG in it, but also carry a 43. They are practical, functional, accurate. And best of alllll... if I ever have to use it I won't feel so bad about having to give it up for a while.

I have to go with Chief..... much like a shovel, they never fit my hand the way I liked.

I have a 26 laying in the safe, but I don't shoot it. Need to sell that one.

Hey Warren,

Here is my Model 26 Gen4. I like it for the exact reasons you described. I have not shot a boatload of semi auto hand guns and owned even fewer so I am not the best one to make comparisons but I find this easy to shoot, clean, disassemble and most of all very accurate but not something I am going to get mentally attached to.

Thanks for the post Tom and its good to see you on here again. One of the things I liked about the 27 was conversion possibility to 9mm or 357 Sig if I ever chose that route with a drop in Lone Wolf barrel. Not as easy with a 26 without the complete top end slide. Thanks for the reply.

I like the Glock 42 and I carry it a good bit after hours. But my favorite is my SIG.

I have a Model 36 and a Model 43. Am totally satisfied with them.
Carried a Model 23 right up until retirement about ten years ago.

I keep them stock and have had not one problem.

Except for one time, after about a gazillion rounds, the 36's slide stop lever spring broke. Glock repaired it in less than a week,no charge.

Don't have any Tupperware guns, but Glock would be the one I would buy. had a 19 and It was (is) a great gun. Simple, safe, accurate good shooter, but I gave it to my son in law. I like Sigs.
