Cream peas, aka lady peas, are my absolute favorite, even better than purple hulls. Yum.

Those are some of the biggest mud bugs I've ever seen.

Hey Tom:

A couple of my nephews came home from college a couple of weeks ago and have been fishing nonstop on Lake Fork ever since they got home.

We had a pretty good storm one day last week and they had to come in off the lake.
They got to thinking about what to do so they started seining the ditches and mud holes around here and ended up with a pretty good batch of crawfish.

They remembered me and brought me some to purge and boil. I obliged them!

My friend that moved up in '05 to escape Katrina packed up and headed East (to TN).

Now I need to buddy up with another Nawlins transplant.

I upgraded my Dixie plates and red plastic cup to a silver plate and nice wine glass, but paired my Bison filet and spring grass/ranch dressing with French Shirah/Cab red wine, and, of course, my Behring moose horn tipped, knife and fork. Cooked in my Griswold #7 skillet, Amish butter, garlic, onions, and peppers. Cooked medium rare. Yum.
