Cornish Game hen tonight, roasted in my #9 Griswold skillet. Mighty fine.

Looks scrumptious. What wine went with that?

Pappy,
That looks pretty darn good.

Did you ever try pigeons? They cook pretty much like the game hens.

Eric

I had some Chenin/Chardonnay from Bianchi of Argentina. Perfect match.

4.5 lbs of porterhouse, mushrooms, asparagus, and I am sure a nice bottle of wine. No wonder you are full.

But, according to William Clark's journal of the Lewis and Clark expedition:
"Each man consumed nine pounds of meat per day, when available, and the designated hunters of the Corps were kept busy throughout the journey."

[quote=coachblalock]The 2018 Blalock Family Reunion was held yesterday, Sunday May 27.

I fried up 5 gallons of Catfish fillets, french fries, onion rings, and hush puppies.

My brother smoked a Brisket and all the ladies fixed up some delicious sides. (The majority came straight from their gardens.)

The Homemade Ice Cream on a hot day might have been the best, especially with my Mama's chocolate cake or my wife's peach cobbler.

This stuff is the BEST!!!

How about some Baby Back Ribs, Baked Beans, and Tater Salad for the 4th of July?

We had Peach Cobbler and Homemade Ice Cream for dessert.
