Coach,

It's a hell of a shame how Steve Fromholz died.

I got to see him twice when I worked in Austin back in 1995. The Texas Trilogy is one of my top 50 favorite songs.

Remember to enjoy Dimmy Jean's Pour Puke Sauce Linkages.

Ski Texas!

Hey Tom:

It sure was a shame!

He used to come to Nacogdoches every now and then when I was in college during the 70s.

Steve, Towns Van Zandt, Michael Murphy, Augie Meyer, BW Stevenson, Rusty Weir, Asleep at the Wheel were all “regulars” at the 3 main “Tonks “ in town.

I went to see them more than I should have.

It may have come to an end today!

80F at 4:00 pm due to influence of Imelda.

A LOT of rain down South of us but not a drop here yet.

Fall is here @ 71/46. We'll get an Indian Summer week and then fall will be in full swing.

Coach,

You didn't mention Guy Clark, maybe the best songwriter/singer in the early 1970's Texas music group. Hey, he wrote and sang "The Randall Knife"!

Here's Guy & TTB in Mt Vernon in the late '90s.

Tom:

That list was in NO WAY complete!

Guy Clark usually came to town with Townes Van Zandt and Steve Earle.

A couple more that I left off were B.B. King and Stevie Ray Vaughn.

Rain, which we needed, 65 high, 45 low, perfect hunting weather. My late buck hunt doesn't start until Nov 10-30, black powder only. Looking forward to it.

Coach, we probably should start a Texas music thread. Who here doesn't like our music?

Btw, 2 1/2' of rain today. Some friends in the Golden Triangle got 2 or 3 feet.

Hey Tom:

We didn’t get but an inch but we’re proud to get that. We were gettin’ awfully dry. It’s supposed to get warm again today, but at least it’s not the 100 degree stuff.
