Lucille update Thursday. Good news bad news. Bad news is that Lucille has pull her stomach PEG out 3 times and had to go to the emergency radiology facility to have it replaced. This last time they stitched it in so it will really hurt if she tries that again. I believe she is just having anxiety when no one is with her. We started hiring a night person who will watch her from 830 pm to 830 am when I get there. She had a hard day yesterday with PT starting at 9am, then a cardiologist appointment at 1230, then the hospital radiology replacement of the PEG. We didn't get back to the rehab facility until 5. She had been in that chair all that time except for the PEG. Her right knee swelled and is still hurting her today. No PT today. All in all it's been a good week except for the PEG issues. Please pray that she continues to improve and able to stand and balance, and to swallow. Thanks always for your prayers and support.

Mike
Thank you for the update. You both are in my thoughts and prayers.
From what you say, Lucille is still making progress, maybe not as fast as everyone would want
Hang in there.

Thanks Mike for the update: We think about and pray for Lucille and you everyday. The good news always out weighs the bad news.

Update on Lucille Wednesday Oct. 26
It's been a couple of weeks since our last update and still not much to tell. Lucille is improving slowly in most areas, her speech and swallowing isn't. She continues to struggle with her tongue movement and has difficulty with ice chips and applesauce. She had an endoscopy and her vocal cords are good and it appears it's strictly her tongue muscle that needs the therapy. This includes her ability to talk. Yesterday she had a neurology appointment regarding her legs and feet posturing. Along with the continued physical therapy, we decided to go with botox injections to her calfs which will relax those muscles controling her ankles. The shots will happen next week. God continues to bless us with encouragement and daily blessings. Please continue to pray for her and improved tongue movement, plus success with the botox injections.
