Thursday night, I drove through flurries in KS/OK at the border where US75 crosses.
Friday night and Saturday morning were colder than a witches brassiere, with a sharp breeze to drive the point home. Fortunately no moisture in the air.
Capt Stanaback's table at the Tulsa show was about 150ft from one of the doors that was open for exhibitors to bring in gear. The breeze coming in through that door was quite chilling all day Friday.
Woke up Saturday morning in (rural) Caney KS with frost on the car and the thermometer at the 16F mark.
Saturday warmed up a bit, Sunday was cool and moist but not bone biting.
I got home on Sunday night, chowed down on homemade beef stew (did I mention my wife can cook?), and crashed hard. Woke up to "cold and wet" here in North Texas, temps in the 40s all day.
My mother sends me a note this morning that it is snowing in SE Kansas, 2" and still falling.
