Anyone know what happened to David Lee's collection of Bear Bowies that he would show at the Blade Shows?
That was a great collection that Rick Ward and David Lee worked on for years.
I regret I did not take pictures of his display. Maybe someone here did.

I am putting a short (very short) story together for "KNIFE KNEWS" about this knife. Won't let any cats out of the bag just yet...but I owned it "twice"! I'm keeping it, this time!
Stay sharp, Capt. Chris

Cap
I notice the back of the sheath is stamped 12 7 where the standard Bear is 12 8, so is the Bear smaller or the sheath mis-stamped? Curious minds want to know

Talked to Rick about it at Blade, last he heard the family kept it.

It's #12-7". I had Greg make the custom sheath, out of some Ostrich hide of mine he had down at his shop. Originally, no sheath was provided. My late friend, Dave Griffin, had placed this knife in my "drawer" for me, prior to me becoming a dealer. Of course, becoming an authorized dealer nixes any cool, one-offs, Randalls being held in a drawer for me....(Rats!) I'm not complaining...just takin' a trip down memory lane!
Best, Capt. Chris

Very nice, I can't believe there would be many made that were not the standard size. That is surely a keeper

Thanks
Peter
