Great trip to Alaska! Hunted about 5-6 hours by boat from Valdez. Got a Mountain Goat 304 yds. and a Black Bear 376 yds. Plenty of rain and rainbows with only two nice days.

Tom,
Super nice job!! What rifle did you use? Load??

Typical of Alaska weather,I am surprised that you did not get snow/sleet mixed in as well.

Looks like that was a GREAT trip. Beautiful scenery, and congratulations...

Question please, what handgun are you carrying there, and is the holster custom, or factory? Looks like a great set-up.. Thanks !!!

Wayne,

.300 WSM Nosler Trophy Grade 190 gr Accubond Long Range factory ammo; no snow, just floating icebergs on Columbia Bay.

Michael,

.500 Smith & Wesson Magnum 4" barrel hand cannon with 500 gr. Hornady Ammo. GALCO Custom Kodiak belly holster with 5 shot cartridge bandolero.

Pulled the gun out twice as bears kept coming out while we were skinning; one at 40 yards and one at 20 yards. Luckily no Browns or Grizz only black bears. More curious than anything.
