It actually is more of an all-around survival tool than one might think. The 5" blade is the perfect length and heft. 5 years is a long time to wait, but worth it in the end, for sure. This knife has jumped to the head of list of my all time favorite Randalls that I own. The only thing I would do differently is have a thong hole in the crows beak. Now that I'm more familiar with the knives and know what they can and cannot do, I can now see the benefits of a wrist thong on this model.
