Very nice.

We set record highs here in "North Texas" yesterday.

Gonna be warm today but this morning was too overcast for the temps to shoot up like yesterday. In other words, we're gonna be warm'n'muggy today. sigh.

Well, dang.
We are setting records here in Metro Denver - while it snows in the mountains, we get nothin'
Latest record was first time ever we had a rain shower vs snow on Christmas Eve and that was just enough to measure.
High winds and severe fire danger.
Say what!

We are in the 80s. That's why we live in Houston.

After getting nearly 3 feet of snow, it cleared up and is -3 below this morning. At least we got everyone plowed out before it got so cold. Next week it's supposed to warm up into the 40's, so the roofs should slide. Only 2 more months, then spring will start. Happy New Year to everyone, hope and pray it will be better than 2021.

The temp here dropped out right at 1p, going from 64F to what is now 34F (and still falling). We're expected to have a hard freeze of 25F tomorrow morning.

About time winter got here.

Okay, what do I say?
I left Denver metro to spend a month in the FL Keys.
Winds hit gusts of 115 MPH over the Rocky Flats and a fire broke out.
700-900 homes lost in fire.
I live further south, but had attended a Christmas party with family and friends just near there and had driven through the neighborhoods.
National news has some pictures that shows the damage.
Damn!
Red Cross and local help organizations are getting my contributions this year.

We landed at 16F this morning before the sun came up.

Wife said she saw flurries when she got up.
