I see that the Patriots and Rams will face off in the Super Bowl.

I would much rather watch the Puppy Bowl. At least they don't take a knee.

I actually wonder if dogs can see images on a TV screen. Some folks say that they cannot.

Wayne--

Yes, dogs can see, and some respond to TV.

One of our dogs would sit and watch, depending on what caught his interest.

And when my wife was a girl they had a fox terrier that would watch Lassie, then run around behind the TV looking for Lassie when she ran out of the scene.

Warren,
That was interesting.

Larry,
I think that you are right and I also think that dogs can tell color.

I would tell Luvvy to go get the red toy or green toy and she would go and pick it up.

Also knew, without hand gestures left from right.

In my opinion, dogs are far more intelligent than so called "experts" believe.

I never knew a dumb dog but as for some people...…………..

I recall reading that dogs don't have the cones in their eyes that detect red-green-blue. But do have the rods that detect light and dark. Just as deer can detect brighter and darker objects, i.e. contrast, which along with movement and noise gives away hunters.

Non of my dogs were "trained hunting dogs" but I would just take them into the woods to hunt with me and watch their body language.

Dogs can see game long before any human can.

I would just watch the ears, tilt of head or tail position and take my que from there.

I grew up with Bird Dogs until there weren't any quail left in East Texas.

After that, I have had Hounds.

All have had amazing eyesight especially at night.

But their sense of smell is truly amazing. You cannot hide from them; they will find you, even when 2-3 month old puppies.

My wife claims that if the wind is hard out of the South, they can smell me and my truck coming from town four miles away.

She says they will put their noses up in the air and start whining. They will even sometimes start heading to my gate (half mile) to meet me.

Piper is more sophisticated than the other dogs. While they play she watches the news......Fox News.
