OK Crew: A) I have fine silver B) I have been providing it for many moons now C) It is expensive D) It tarnishes "way worse" than any other metal to be used F) Handle options I have used on my Stanaback Special: 1) Standard (straight) style (#1 style) 2) Commando 3) Concaved 4) Single finger grip 5) 4 finger grip (#14/Under) 6) RH finger grip 7) LH finger grip 8) Slab side 9) Slab side with finger grips 10) Border Patrol 11) Teardrop Hope this helps, Capt. Chris
Finger grips,RH or LH decided by the winner, fine silver rounded hilt, silver and black spacers, and flat butt plate. Silver does tarnish but with a little silver polish it shines up brilliantly.

Snake: Yes, everything in your photo is doable. Steve: Matters not to me..."BUT"...(Aaaahhh: I feel better now)...the knife will be over a $Grand$, just so everyone knows. Hope this helps, Capt. Chris
I like Steve's proposal. Maybe with a rounded silver butt cap instead of a silver butt plate. This would clearly be a 'safe queen' or display piece, but a beautiful and classy one.
As an alternative, if silver is not adopted by the forum builders, and the knife may be a "user", how about: -finger grips, RH/LH as per winner's choice; -NS rounded hilt; -black and aluminum spacers; -wrist thong; -compass.

Nickel silver, solid brass or fine silver butt caps...your choice will make the knife totally out-of-balance and, although I care not what we build, I would still like this way-cool project to be functional...not just expensive and "safe-queenable"! Just sayin', Capt. Chris PS: No butt cap would "balance better"...CCS
