I bought a 19-4.5 from one of the well respected on line dealers last week, it showed up yesterday. They are one of the dealers that support this site.
Not sure if the Randall wrapping had been unwrapped or not, however, the sheath is the 19-5 model, did not look right to me, did not put the knfe in the sheath, called RMK this AM, it is the wrong sheath, so back they both go to RMK.
Sure do like the M-19 blade and thicker handle profiles, could be the perfect all around designs, at least for me.
Pics when it returns.
Best,
Gary

There was a discussion a while back regarding a Sullivan High Rise sheath for a #19-5, and I finally got home long enough to take a few photo's. When I pack my #19, this is the sheath I wear. For a big knife, this is really comfortable compared to the regular sheath. I still prefer a pouch type, but this will work.

A couple weeks ago I received a 19-4 1/2" Was not overwhelmed with pleasure. Like my 23 better.

Saturday, I received this 19-5. Now I am very pleased. It is a stout knife and will be a good heavy duty work knife I keep in my truck.

Of course, I rounded the guard a little as well as the butt. Kept the top edge though. Which is a first.

Kevin started this thread almost 8yrs ago to the day.

Since he passed on to his just reward, his stunning collection of 19s has been missing from this site. Until now.

We miss you, Kevin, and thanks for these memories when friendly folk and banter ruled.
