So, while a lot of folks participate in our builds, not nearly enough are a part of the "Final drawing". I have an idea to curb that. How about we "Park" the "Park" build, right here in the RKCC forum and give everyone a chance to get the final build..."CHEAP"!!
Pappy wanted a "Park Build" and I'm ok with that but why not post 200 numbers, let everybody pay $5.00 per number and the Random pick go to one crew member...and the proceeds go to a new RKCA project I'm working on!?!?

Maybe I am not understanding.
Each participant pays $5. At the end of the build, a winner is picked from the people who paid up. The winner then buys the knife. The money collected from the $5 participation fees then goes into a special RKCA project you are planning?
Is that correct?

Once before I won a knife that we built.I paid for it.Asked Capt to run it again and money would go to RKCA.This was many years ago .
I think this will work the same.Capt can clear this up or verify!!
I'm in either way.

Everyone puts their name in the hat for as many #'s as they want. If you want 1 or 20, all you will pay is what you put in...period. A true chance to get (buy) a build for 5 BUCKS!!

It sounds as if this is a "pay to play" build, whereas regular builds have been "play to pay" if you happen to be drawn.

Not a bad deal if I understand the Captain to have a purpose...which has not been disclosed...but which is probably something neat.

Okay, I got it.
It's a raffle and build.
I like the concept.

The way I figure it, there would be essentially no limit on the number of $5 tickets. Say the total comes to $700, then we would build up to, or as far as the options would go to $700. If the build was done at $600, then the remainder would go to RKCC. Am I close Cap?
