Then I assume that any build with a "government " association would be off limits, including all military as well. No Forest Service, no BLM, no NYFD, no nothing. Next thing you know, the PC crowd will sue because Randall only has a Sargent model and not a Chief Petty Officer model. This PC crap is becoming unbearable.

Hard for me to whittle down in my head how to think about this National Park Build. A tribute knife to ALL parks? A specific park? What one would use a Randall for while spending time in a Park?...probably the one I've had in my brain most. And with the legal do's/don't's I'll bet to keep from researching it AND discussing it more than needed just set the cut-off for the Build blade to be less than 3&1/2" and only one sharpened edge; pick it from there. Eliminates a Bear at the Alamo Park but hell, who'd carry it there anyway?
So, what's our direction?

Duke,

So far this has been a "Bear" of a build. I get your frustration.

I'm not in this just yet....BUT...why is it that the knife has to conform to the "rules" of the park that it is named for...How/Who is going to actually "carry" this knife to the park that it was named/made after? That's kind of like saying that all "NASSA" made knifes should conform to the requirements of NASSA...or...a LBB should only be carried/used when hunting little bears...am I missing anything here...name the knife...build the knife...and let the winner worry about the rest...I'm just say'n

I like the Teddy Roosevelt theme for his great work with the National Parks

I don't care what we build, ya'll should know that by now. Yellowstone and many others offer camping and great campsites along with fishing, etc. I never go to the Glades without 2 RMK's...Just sayin'.
How about this: ROLL CALL VOTE!!! Vote for one:
A) Bowie of some sort
B) Camp knife of some sort
C) Fishing knife of some sort
D) Stanaback Special
E) Other
Let's get a good, positive vote going and eliminate the bitching, shall we?
Thanks, Capt. Chris
PS: This could be one of the best builds ever and the "new idea" of the raffle systen seems to give this thing some legs too!!
