Football!

Denver Metro received about 3" of the big chunks of snow flopping down out of the sky (Thank God it is from the sky).

Next up is the Full Super, Blood, Wolf Moon
Full Wolf Man - January's name for the Full Moon
Blood Moon - Due to Eclipse
Super Moon - Closest location to Earth

No wonder the kids at school have been acting like fools this week. We have had 2 lockdowns this week! I can’t remember the last one.

Full Moons and Northers really affect the crazy kids.

Ever wonder where the word LUNATIC comes from.

Think we escaped. Snow, wind and low temperatures not as bad as predicted. Yeah still a foot but manageable. Right now approaching 0. Let's see what tomorrow brings. I just accept that it's Winter and don't mind playing with the JD.

Right now it's 7 degrees; with 24 mph NNW wind feels like about -14. Cleared enough for my old yellow lab and I to view that incredibly beautiful moon and the eclipse, Blood Moon. Everything....stars, clouds, moon, eclipse, and my dog were all somehow even more incredibly beautiful. Mostly due, I think, to my most recent, second, "cardiac event." Feeling very grateful.

Duke,
Right now in the north east it is colder than a witches --- but maybe a warm up of sorts by midweek.

I hope that all goes well with you and please,no more "events".

SW/VA? Anywhere near Powhatan? My buddy and his family moved there a couple of years ago.

Denver Metro received about 3 inches of wet heavy snow that turned to ice.
More scheduled for tonight just before I drive across the mountains for the Las Vegas Knife shows.
Two knife shows scheduled around SHOT Show - Las Vegas Custom Knife Show on Sat & Sun at Bally's, and Custom Knife Invitational at the Westgate on Fri, Sat, Sun - I am setting up at Westgate.
Also the Tactical Knife Invitational have their fandango on Friday Night. It is similar to AKI with invited Knife Makers, Buyers, and food and drink for a pretty hefty entrance fee. Attendees get to go through a lottery to see who can buy a knife from each of the invited makers.
Got the full effect of the Full Super Blood Wolf Moon around 10-11 pm MST. The news was raving about the bright red color, but it looked brown-red to me (more like blood sitting for an hour or so).
Kansas seemed to be the epicenter of the full eclipse, but it sure was full here.

Headed to HHI for our Winter retreat till May. I'll make several trips back/forth. I'm ready for some warmer weather.
Already have enough experience this year with snowblower and roof rake.

I have noticed that around the full moon, the weather seems to be most severe, whether it be winter or any other time of year.

Maybe it has something to do with the phase of the moon??
