Mr Buckspen, i think you are lucky. Or maybe not as much on older sheath. Blade width not a constant and i have tried wider blade type in narrower sheath of modern make and had edge trying to slice welt. Maybe knife variation, maybe older sheath wider.

Pat: The wrist thong is an intergral part of the handle construction. It adds support and prevents the handle from moving around. Not doable without it, no. Hope this helps, Capt. Chris
That as i thought Captain. On military knife they not leave without SOMETHING through tang except briefly. I glad you said since if lowly me had, somebody have told me glue NEVER fail. No that happens all time but military failsafe as possible or hope so. For epoxy, main thing is prevent initial shift.
Buxton VERY unusual in modern time.

You are right! I was lucky that these fit well. I had to try several different ones before getting the correct fit.
Mr Buckspen, they are lovely and looks as if made to order. Are photo oriented right and left and right gunfighter special? Then almost need belt with sharpening stone loops.
