Natchitoches, Louisiana is about 3 hours from me. Home of Lasyone's Restaurant. Arguably the best Meat pies and Crawfish pies in the world. We haven’t been there since Christmas and it’s time to go back. When you're through there, go 'bout a hundred miles south to Scott (a couple of miles west of Lafayette) and try the boudin at Billy's ...or Don's ...or The Best Stop! -Steve Hey Steve: Been there, Done that, and will do it again, thats for sure.

My Bride of 30+ years is up to something.
On Friday, I came home to 10 lbs. of Crawfish all fixed up and ready to eat on the back porch.
Saturday evening, I was treated to Shrimp & Grits with a stick of Billy's Boudin, a cup of Gumbo, and a bowl of Jambalaya.
Oh, I almost forgot, a plate of Crawfish Cornbread.
She knows how to get on my good side!

You right Warren.
But she swears that nothing is up and that she is just enjoying retirement and finally having the chance to cook. Life is good.
We will see.
PS I even reminded her that I did not marry her for her cooking and cleaning skills!!!

My Cowboy rib eye steak tonight, seared in my Griswold #7 skillet and roasted for 4 minutes. Perfect.

https://www.markethouse.comIf you want the very best meats, this is the place. I have tried numerous so called premium mail order meat companies, but Markethouse tops them all. Their bacon is the best I've ever had, as are their Cornish hens, Cowboy steaks, and double bone pork loin chops. I'll post some pictures later. Pap
