Tuesday was the first time I ever hunted in February in shirtsleeves!! Was near 60 degrees!! A far cry from the -22 the week before.

Now back to cold rain with temps more "normal" for this time of year.

The same kid said they got into 'em again yesterday and last night from the bank at a place on Lake Fork.

He said that they had to leave the crappie biting at 10:00 p.m.

He said that they would have stayed all night but his mama and then his daddy kept calling and finally told him that if they had to come down there to get him...

They were fishing ahead of this Norther that came in this morning.

It was 74 at 5:00 this morning. 40 now at 10:30

On last Wednesday; Saskatoon, Saskatchewan was colder than Mars. I should have stayed in The Chilean Patagonia trout fishing.

Idaho is bracing for a monster snow storm this weekend. Mountain predictions are up to 30". We live at 3200' and expecting 7-10". In 1973, there was a 4 day blizzard that dumped 56" of snow the last week of March. It ain't over yet.

Was 47 @ 5:30 this morning. Temperatures dropped steadily during the day and heading to 17 overnight. The wind has been picking up all afternoon. Gonna be a cold weekend here.
