Hell no Alan, Binghamton, NY.
Moved here in 2010. One thing I've learned is, "If you think the weather is good, just wait 20minutes; it's about to change". Bought sums it up.
We are part of a group of cities that has the most amount of overcast skies in the US.
Love it here. The farting cows do too.

So you must be confusing my SC away home, ahh now I get it. Home base here. Hilton Head for a spa check.

My oldest Son gave a small pot with 2 Lilly's to the wife on Mothers day 2007. Here is a pic of those Lillys this morning. Warren, I have really enjoyed this thread. I hope we see other examples now that Summer is here!

Eric,

Very nice. The lillies here are just coming around since we've had a stretch of warm weather. These just opened up yesterday.
It's supposed to stay warm for the rest of the week so we're going to get a bloom.

Warren, Those are beautiful. How about an indoor perennial?

For some reason we don't have much indoor luck. Christmas cactus is about it. Too many overcast days year round.
Orchids never do well.

My son gave Lucille a large white orchid for Mother's Day in 2018 and it lasted for 6 months. This year he gave her a purple one and only made it 4 weeks.

Warren, They have to be watered a certain way. I am not allowed to water them. I think she only mists them with a spray bottle.

'97-2001 I was renting a house, master bath had a window high on the wall where the tub was, SE-facing, and a huge shelf inside in front of that window.

Orchids absolutely loved living on that shelf.

Jan 2002 we (wife 1.0 and I) moved and none of them lasted a year at the new place. Sad, because I paid upwards of $75/plant for some of them. This was a few years before WalMart started selling them at $8/ea.
