Prime Rib is on my bucket list..that is bucket cook list. I have never cooked one and really want to try it. I love to eat it, that's for sure.

I make 1 Turkey every year but probably 6 Prime Rib Roasts. Starts with a good cut and I have that covered.
LOL, I'm looking out the window at my next potential dinner.

Lori....
I've heard low and slow....I did my last one that way, and it was perfectly rare-medium rare all the way through!!
200 for 4-6 hours depending on your thermometer, and your desire of doneness.....let it sit for a while, and hit it with the broiler(or red hot grill) to brown
Good Luck!!

Except for boiling potatoes and cooking rice, all I cook with is cast iron skillets and Dutch ovens. Not the 3 legged type that use charcoal, although I do have some, but oven Dutch ovens. Prime rib roasts, I just use a baking sheet and thermometer. I recommend the Meater as it has an internal battery so no wires and has a smart phone app that tells you the internal temperature.

Here's what we had for December 2018.

Some wanted theirs more than medium rare so I tossed them on the grill for a minute or so on each side.
