Tom,
In "brass", you are 100% correct. In duralumin...not so much. Now "crowding of the hand" (especially a big mitt like I have)? That's a different story. It would look quite cool, of that there is no doubt. Let's see where the bread crumbs lead us??
Thanks, Capt. Chris

OK CREW:
Looks to me, opinion-wise, we have a solid preference for the following being "added" to the build sheet:
* Randall Model #8's
* Stainless steel
* Thumb notches
* Stag handle
* Nickel silver hilt
...all those in favor (or not)...ROLL CALL VOTE!!
A) Yes
B) No
Thanks, Capt. Chris

Capt. Chris--

No...but almost.

My two cents worth...

This combination only uses 3 of 5 potential options: Stainless blade, Thumb Notches, NS Butt. (Stag is standard.)

Suggestion: (1) Stainless, (2) NS Hilt, (3) Thumb Notches, (4) Wrist thong, and (?) (5) NS Butt Plate.

This small knife does not need any added weight on the butt end to balance out a heavy blade, so the Butt Plate would be a compromise—IF we don’t want to include a compass like several posters suggested.

So, I will hold off on voting for now.

Larry
