Beautiful day here in the Blue Ridge. About 30 this morning but, warmed up fast to close to 60. Blue sky's and clear as a bell. Great morning to deer hunt as rifle season opened this morning.

Coach,
Any of the dealings I had with Bond Arms has been top notch.

I am sure that if you call, you might be able to set up a tour/visit there.

If you compare and Amercan Derringer made in Waco,TX with a Bond Derringer, there is no comparison. The Bond is far superior in every way.

Relaxing on the porch and not getting a dang thing done is....good.

Wayne:

I have to agree. I love my “TEXAN”.

I carry it every day in my four wheeler when I “make the rounds” on my place. 3” magnum .410s are deadly on moccasins. I killed 28 so far in 2018.

I also carry a couple rounds of .45 Long Colt for when I come across some hogs.

As I said, I intend on going out there to see their place. I hope to do it soon.

Coach,
Venomous snakes few and very far between in my area. The two legged ones are much more prevalent.

I have 9 diffent bbls for my Texas Defender but the one I use most is the 410 2 1/2".

From what I understand moccasins and copperheads are much more aggressive than the rattlesnakes??

Getting back to the weather, looks like clear and cold for the next few days here so it will be into the squirrel woods I go.

Today's forecast high is 17; we're heading for-1 overnight.
Winter is early this year.

Went into the woods first thing this morning to celebrate Thanksgiving.
Wind chill in the minus numbers. More squirrels in my yard than the woods...………….

Needless to say,my hunt did not last more than a couple of hours.

Also,I think there are more deer by the river behind my house as well.

It's been a while since this thread was back on top. We're gonna get our butts kicked this weekend into Monday. Forecast here in central NY is 20 inches+. Problem will be the wind up to 35 causing tree limb power outages and then temps falling well below zero into Sunday and Monday.
Got the JD322 ready to go and plenty of gas for the weekend.
I just don't want to miss Football on Sunday.
