This 12-8 Crown Stag Bear Bowie came my way sometime last year from a dealer who had just received it from the shop. This is the knife that really got me off and running for more crown stag handled Randall's. The antler on this knife is massive and is a handful. As far as I know this was shop crown stag. It is one of several favorite knives in my collection.

Best,
Warren

Warren,

Beautiful knife and photo. You have a great collection of RMK crown stag knives.

Kevin

PS Warren, you get all the good knives.

Thanks to both Kevin and Tom. What's neat about crown stag to me is imagining the animal that wore the antler. This one must have been a bruiser.

Best,
Warren

PS: Kevin, this is one of the good knives!

Warren,
The shop has not supplied crown for the past 25 years. Your "dealer" probably, like me, supplied it to the shop.
When Gary Randall sold me the crown stag for the "Glades Hunters" it was a seperate purchase, in order to get the project going sooner. Otherwise I would have had to buy it at the shows or from a supplier. I didn't mind doing that, but I knew GTR would make sure the crown was the correct diameter for the project. As it is, out of the 50 odd pieces, 6 have been too small, thus far, with some more to submit.
Also: Even though my crown stag came from the shop, it was still submitted by me and I was charged accordingly for "CW" ($55) extra per knife.
By the way: Incredible knife!...Good match, that crown and #12-8...
Best, Capt. Chris
