You really think I believe you would use that beauty to butcher some pig? Ha!

That & everything else. In the land of constant humidity the best way to keep a tool steel knife is to use it.

Ralph and Kackooos still a good spot? Don's gumbo was the best.

Years ago, One of their top sales managers who worked at their New Orleans location was to be married. Well, she was a great friend of my wife and stood as a Bridesmaid in our wedding.

Her Bridal shower was held at their personal home.... He was a tremendous outdoorsman and his collection certainly was a fine example of how he lived.... and ate! Great memories!

Ralph & Kacoo......was bought by Piccadilly, food is bad now.
They finally closed down the original Don's Seafood this last flood got them.
They have 3-5 spots in LA. now......it's the kids with the original recipes now.
Fleur De Lis Pizza is still going & still awesome.
Tonys seafood is still going strong.

As for slicing pickles, hasn't yet, but boiled 120 lbs. of mudbugs this weekend & it cut up a lot of stuff. Onions, garlic, mushrooms, sausage, chicken, potatoes, corn, green beans.
Butterflied a 150ish big shrimp for some angels on horseback.
That's when you butterfly a 12-15 count shrimp stuff in a oyster & wrap it in bacon batter it then deep fry it.

Hope you don't mind bro, I re-sized your image. Came out amazing. You get that mammoth from Charles Turnage? He's the guy who had the cross cut mammoth.

I still have a Ralph and Kacoos cook book. The Mohawk in Monroe, La had great gumbo too, and the best fried shrimp I've ever had. Casio's in Monroe had a Red Fish Tony that was crispy fried with a butter sauce of crawfish, crab, garlic and green onions. To die for.
