Thanks for the reply Scott... Is that w/ the diagaonl keeper as well?... I emailed a request to the shop yesterday for availability, cost and lead time, so hopefully I'll hear something back w/ in a few days... If it's not too much trouble, can you post which, if any, other 5" or shorter models are available w/ a Model A sheath & diagonal keeper as an option?

Thanks again,

Scott, I don't suppose you could change that order for me? (If it's easier for me to just call Val again, let me know and I'll do that.)

#4-5" comes with a handle "wrap-around" keeper strap, to the best of my knowledge and experience. Scott: Maybe you have to specify on a #4-5" a diagonal keeper strap. I have not checked one out in the past few months. Here's a couple of mine...

Also:
A Model #19-5" (with or without a hone pocket) comes with a diagonal keeper strap.

A Model #19-4 1/2" is the "other" keeper, unless it is ordered "without" a hone pocket.

The new Randall Model #28-4 1/2" comes with a diagonal keeper strap. The reason for this is the fact that it does not include the option of a hone pocket. Hope all of this isn't confusing everyone. I just figured some "visuals" might help.
Best, Capt. Chris

Thanks f/ the info guys... I was checking out all of the Combat Companions in the Knife of the Week thread, and I noticed that all of the hone pocketed sheaths had the diagonal keeper strap as well... I'm guessing that this is standard f/ the CC?

Thanks again

10-4. The "CC" carries the same sheath configuration as the #1-5" or the #5-5".

Captain...

I don't think I have ever heard this asked before...I want to order a #3-5" and I don't like the look of a straight handle on a short blade #3, is it possible to order a blade with the tang that is dropped slightly ? I'm not using stag, is there maybe a handle style that the shop offers that would give me a 'dropped' look, would a teardrop shape work ?
