Wayne,

I hope you get over the shingles soon. My mother has had them and they are no good. She got the vaccine like Pappy did and has not had a problem since.

Coach & Pap,
Thank you for the well wishes. I am pretty much on the mend but it did really kick my butt.

Pap,
Look up Uva Ursi (latin for Bear Berry),might help stem off any UTI for your Dear Wife.

Good to see you are on the mend. Not a good combo for sure.
Kick it to the curb and get well soon!

Shoot870p,
I am pretty much like athlete's foot, you just can't really get rid of me!!!

Doing pretty good. Now if this long winter will end,it will be much better.

First time seeing parts on the lawn in months.

Look forward to being outside in warmer weather and maybe enjoying a cook out or three!!!!

Wayne,

I feel for you. Shingles is a bugger. I hope you get over it very soon. I got it a few years back on a trip down to Chile. That 12 hour flight was absolute torture. I hope yours was a mild case.

Alan,
No,mine was pretty severe. Pretty much 40% of my left side.

Finale stages now with all the scabs healed over and gone but still sore.

Funny thing, you know what killed much of the pain? Tobbasco Sauce applied to the area. Apparently the cayenne pepper has pain killing ability.

I always bounce back a little bit slower now,but I do bounce back.

Great news Wayne. In May I had a dose of shingles on a nerve bed on the right side of my chest all the way around to the middle of my back. It’s sucked. I did get the 2 shot shingles vaccine starting in August.

Wish I’d thought to tell you earlier Wayne but there’s so many words of wisdom/gotta’ try this/try that out there that I just don’t think about it. Cayenne has been tried for pain forever. There are supplements made up with it in capsules, lotions, creams. None of em’ really helped my dang awful arthritis......not just the “got a little arthritis” type. I’ve made up my own—titrated “extra stout” thanks to some friends who know how to do that. Had to get it down to not pealing my skin BUT, for some relief it’s been incredible. But you know how things tend to go..... what works for some doesn’t work at all for another.
Thank God for that shingles vaccine.

For a wide assortment of such pains...

Look for arnica montana solutions in the pain lotion area of the pharmacy.

We use the roll-on for everything from joints to stings to sore back etc.

No smell, no heat, no cold. Just quiet magic.
