Here too Wayne. We got 1-2" here last night. First of the year that had any kind of accumulation. Farmers Almanac is predicting warmer but wetter for this winter.

We go on a Winter storm watch this afternoon at 7. Calling for sleet and freezing rain but, it is supposed to warm up to the 40's tomorrow so it will all be gone. This has been the wettest year I can remember since 1957 and I have had enough as that will do any good.

Colorado ski areas are opening early this year. What a relief from the drought, fires, and dry. If it keeps up, we should get above normal snowpack and the streams will be coughing up trout next spring and summer, the river rafts will have a normal season, and the mountains should be green again. We can't get the glaciers back, but maybe the snow will last a while. No complaints here!

Picture perfect day in East Texas.
Sunny, no wind, 60s.
Fall leaves are absolutely beautiful.

Beauty is in the eye of the viewer. We have rain turning to snow, snow in the mountains, and cold temp's. That means more moisture, less fire hazards, cold killing the pesky insects and bugs. We be happy, happy, happy as they say on Duck Dynasty.
