Why Not!
The overwhelming majority I know shoot 12 gauge. A few shoot 20 gauge, but they are having a real hard time getting shells. Never heard anything against 12 gauge around here. All the instructors I know all teach and shoot 12 gauge ... except maybe for youth and or women.
Tell me, is it different in other parts of the country?

just joking....as a trap shooter we always poke fun at the skeet shooters....just a way of life down here....other than my 20ga, my dad would only let me shoot the .410 870....now days I use a 28ga....and miss plenty...BUT have fun doing it I would think the majority down here shoot 20ga....my guess...I really don't pay much attention however when I'm at the table, looking at the others guns, seems most of the others are shooting less that 12...20/28 only for quail...too much damage to the birds!!
