I have had news, twice this holiday weekend, and it goes a bit "back-n-forth" but nothing tragic to report. I'm editorializing now but I think what I've been reading is just, plain, all a part of it! I'll keep ya'll posted later. Capt. Chris

Scott has improved somewhat. He is "in" ICU but is awaiting a bed/room "out" of ICU. The joint's full! Fever is still up a bit but had been normal for a bit yesterday. He is opening his eyes more and squeezing Gail's hand and pushing with his toes, feet, etc. More encouraging signs than not. I also talked to Dano on the phone yesterday and he shared all of the same sentiments, although he's still cautious about his Dad. (& who could blame him) Best for now, Capt. Chris

Encouraging news, but still a long road but with continued prayers, Scott can overcome. God's blessings on Scott and his family.

Friday update: Per Dano last night, Scott is much-improved and will "either" be transferred to a room at the hospital..."or" a rehab facility!! He is still on the vent, but at minimum settings. He is opening his eyes more. In general getting better! Steps yet: * Get him off the vent * Beat-down the remaining MRSA * Bust-up the balance of that darned blood clot * Re-train him to walk, talk, etc. etc. Scot still has a good ways to go everybody but "HE'S GETTIN' THERE! God Love Him, Capt. Chris
