The remnants of the hurricane passed through the northeast yesterday and last night. No where near as bad as down south.

Just some heavy rain and a bit of wind but nothing to speak of.

No sweat though,in just a few weeks,we will be thigh deep in snow and frigid temps just to even things out.

8" snow dump last night and more to come this weekend. Hope the mountains get a bunch more this month and January, then no more. Fat chance, lol.

Pappy--

From the low water levels around the West, maybe hope for heavier than usual snow packs and slower than usual melt next year?

California is always hurting for a big snowpack, much man caused from poor forest practices the past 50 years. Idaho has had a fairly average snowpack the past 4-5 years. So far we are 150% of average, remains to be seen if that trend holds for the rest of the winter. We had a snowmagedion back in 2017, and I lost half my deck rails from huge chunks of snow and ice coming off my roof. Don't need that much again.

Pappy,
Poor forestry practices in California?? Try no forestry practices.

They allow the brush piles to accumulate and don't do any clearing.
No wonder why they have such terrible fires!!!

A good percentage of the smoke Jumpers get called out to California fires more than anywhere else.

How are our Randall friends doing with all the bad weather systems going on in the Texas area into neighboring eastern states? Please check in.

We had about 6” of HARD rain.

No storm though. I reckon we got lucky!
