Thanks guys...to be clear...it's been in the family for years, since the early 70's, when my dad took advantage of a friend of my grandfather...the fellow was simply trying to "unload" a Winchester shotgun...had no idea what he had...my dad was out of town, when grand pa called him about the deal...having a pretty good idea of what it was, my dad told grandpa to buy it....the deal went down....$100...my dad, not being a skeet shooter, never used it...I've shot 2 rounds of skeet with it...that's it for the past 50 years...I do not shoot a side by side very well...over and under guy...
from my recent readings, and occasional research, I came up on the Cody web site, and decided to inquire....from what I've found, it will add value, however I do not vision selling it...BUT my son may choose to....
thanks again for all the kind replies

:-)Rocky

Rocky that is really sweet. I always wanted one but didn't want to pay the price. I would never be lucky enough to get one for a 100.00

Rocky,
Being that you do not shoot SXS shotguns very well,I will be glad to take that Model 21 off your hands for $200. (this way you make 100% profit)

OK,so I guess no deal.

Super nice piece,I looked up some prices for Model 21s,certainly not for $100. !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sidney--

I wondered what effect inflation would have on the price of the shotgun. Looks like it would cost about $600 in today's money. Of course, that does not take into account the price from any price guide...it should be worth even more than $600 now.

Larry

Larry

Just my thoughts only, but I'd think you'd have to search long and hard to find a Model 21 Winchester for $600.00.

$2500.00-$5,000.00 range, I'd wager.
Nice Rocky,
Capt. Chris

Yep.

$600 would be a bargain price today.

Not so long ago I was talking to a man who had retired at 65, and started dealing in Parkers.

Approaching 90 at the time, he said he had made $1 million since retiring...he did not explain if that was his net or gross, maybe not so hard to gross that much if actively trading in them.

Goodness!!!
Thanks again for the kind words...sorry Capt...not letting it go for $2,500
It's quite nice, and I have it in a display inside my locker....BUT....I'm also of the sort....use it, or loose it....what good is a gun you don't use...knife too...O.K...maybe one, or three....but to the point, how many do you want to look at, when you don't use them?? I think that's an interesting question....
A model 52 sporter....I took this gun into the woods as a kid many times!!! without my fathers permission, of course...it, also resides in my locker...
