No doubt about it. Each dog has it's very own unique "character" but regardless, you cannot help but love them.

Now,for you dog owners,here is the dog part dictionary that even Vets don't even know;
Mouth Tatey Trap
teeth Toofy Pegs
Front Paws Patty Whackers
Rear Paws Dammy Pats
All 4 Paws Bottsolas
Rear End Popohine

Run those by your Vet and see what happens....better yet..Don't.

Our dog,Luvvy, was listed as a hero dog, saved my life twice and my wife's three times.

I guess this thread pretty well got off the main track.

Getting back on track on this thread.

Went to the range yesterday and did some "snake Repel Drills' with the Bond Derringer in 410/3 inch.

Trust me on this, touch off a 3 inch in the Bond, you know that the bull pooped in the buckwheat for sure!!!

It isn't really that bad being the the grip has the recoil going into the palm of the hand and not the web.

I made a few "custom" loads for mine a while back....as I recall there was a 00 buck, some #2 buck, and some #4....I think...something like that...I recall that the 00 buck was just about perfect fit inside the wad
never shot any...probably wouldn't be fun...BUT not intended to be fun
I'll get someone else to shoot it before me...someone that I don't particularly care for...

I shoot remington 3” extra long range #4 shot at least a couple times a week while the Moccasins are out.

I use my Bond Arms Texan with a 6 “ barrel.

I try not to have to use that 2 shot if I don’t have to for reason already stated.

Glock 20SF 10mm. He waited a lot longer than I would have.

Pappy,

YIPES!!!!

Coach,

I have heard that the water moccasins are quite aggressive. One man down in GA was bitten on his pinky by one and it was six days in the hospital to the tune of $300,000.

I wear snake gaitors while on the quail hunt but it seems that my eyes are more focused on the ground where I am stepping then on the covey about to flush.

Rule down there is to NEVER step over a fallen log before checking what's on the other side first.

In my Bond,the 410 3 inch shells I use # 7 1/2 shot maybe I should switch to #6??

Wayne:

I use #4 shot because some of our Moccasins are so big. #6 would probably be fine but I like how the #4s kill ‘em dead on the first shot.

You might have to take what you can get however, since I ordered 2 boxes of #4s from optic planet on April 30, and they are due to be shipped out on October 22.

Coach,
I have a supply of #6s besides #7.5 so I will take your wise advise and switch to #6s.
Most snake defense distances are probably 5 feet or so.

My first "encounter" was "contact" and basically a dry bite.

None the less,a 1 and 1/2 hour stay at the hospital was $5,000.

Guess who now wears snake gaitors?

I have some #4 2 1/2 inch 410s (I think) want me to check and send them to you?? PM me.
