Well, it was 6 years ago today 6/7/2016, that my best Pal and wife, Lucille had her stroke, the day after her triple bypass surgery. It was 9:15am and I was in her recovery room talking to her. She was in mid sentence and she started slurring her words, then her eyes went back in her head. I yelled for a nurse and she came in, took one look at her and yelled code blue. It was the most horrible day of my life, and a nightmare that I see thousands of times day after day.

We had great hopes for her to recover enough to have a decent life, and it was going good until the fall of 2018, and she developed a weird infection and while in the hospital, she lost all control of her limbs, and her hands became claws, deformed and useless. She has told me many times that she wants to die, and I can't blame her for having that feeling. It crushes me to see her that way every day, but I tell her that the Lord will take her home in His time. Until then, we will make your days as good as we can. On nice warm sunny days, we get her in the wheelchair and go on the deck for some change in scenery and some sun.
