This has been a difficult time for many of us. My wife's nephew who was type 1 diabetic just passed due to complications with Covid. He was 60 years old. Thank you for the prayers for all as sent by Ronnie.

Prayers for all will continue Tom. Our GOD knows how much and who “All” here need ‘em. AND for your wonderful daughters and their outstanding parents Coach. What blessings wonderful children and parents…..and friends are.
Sixty was so very too young to loose your nephew Tom. My baby brother turned 61 on 26/Feb., got up at 0630 on Sunday 27th, and dropped dead in his living room. Totally unexpected, sudden & without warning. Two sentences to his wife, who did CPR until Rescue arrived within minutes……but. He did get Covid 7 mos. ago and definitely was a long hauler with a constant cough that never improved. He was in L.E. for 7 years with a night patrol that included I-81 and then head County Animal Control for 31. Went on numerous crack house raids with the SWAT team, to go in first and secure the pit bulls as the guys didn’t want to get dog bit or kill dogs. The last # I remember him telling me was 19 trained guard dogs secured, 0 killed; & he was more proud of that zero # than about anything; other than his 2 girls and 7 grand babies. A decade ago I got to go along (previous training in past life)3 times. Damn proud of him in action.
His memorial had 4 different uniforms attending….lots of people.
He’d retired almost 2 years ago…..just in time for Covid to delay all our retirement plans to spend time together until this spring….nothing special, just lots of time.
I’ve loved him for 61 years and l’ll miss him.

Duke, that is so sad about your brother. We don't know when, why or how the Lord is going to take us. We don't know why the good die young or the bad live long. At some point we will, but by then it won't matter.
Sorry for your loss.

We got in late last night. It seems that Uncle Bob continues to improve. We wil have to count on the kids to see about him this week and we will head back next weekend.

Tom, I am so sorry to hear about your nephew. COVID has cut short way too many lives and stole the health of countless others.

As my Bride reminds me frequently, we just don’t know what people are going through, so be kind to everybody, even when it seems that you got the right to be an a$$hole.

Again, THANK YOU, THANK YOU for your prayers!

Thanks for the words and prayers my friends. All of the wonderful joys and blessings of having close siblings also means that at some point one might get to experience profound, visceral, gut wrenching sorrow. An older sister was crashed into in 1989 and now my little brother to covid plus. The kindness, support and kind words of friends is some salve in the raw open wounds….& I’m grateful.

Duke, prayers sent for the strength to deal with the loss of your brother, I cannot fathom dealing with another loss at this time...this bug seems to effect us even after long gone...I had a simple cold, but because of my lungs operating at only about 65-70% capacity it turned into pneumonia pretty quick and earned me another couple of days in the hospital, all is well, and a much shorter stay, but flashbacks are hell!!
