Capt,
Looks like you got round #1 good as you identified the problems and early detection is the key.

I am blood type A-Pos if you want me to donate in your name and a match for any donor parts (except my brain.no one wants that!!)

Prayers and best wishes sent.

Wayne

I’ve spent all day in Dallas trying to get my 87 year old Uncle to come stay with us so we can get him to the Doc.

He is bad sick. He has lost 100lbs since Christmas. From 200 to 100. He can’t hardly get around. To make things even worse, he dropped his cell phone in the commode this morning so we can’t call him.

He is a retired Electrical Engineer, an old bachelor, worked for the CIA for a while, and used to bring smoking hot ladies to Christmas, Thanksgivings and reunions.

My Bride started bawling and begged him to come with us. He didn’t budge.

We are going back tomorrow but if he don’t come with us, I give him a couple weeks max.

Coach,
As hard as it may seem, your Uncle probably saw "the writing on the wall" and just wants to live out his last days.

Maybe he "dropped" the phone on purpose.

I hope all goes well and prayers are sent his way.

Time to take a week of “vacation, sick,” whatever the hell you wanta’ call it, and go spend the time with him to learn what’s what,….or watch a basketball game on tv, or pour a drink. Whatever.
If y’all were close, it’ll beat the hell out of a week teaching school.

We are on Spring Break. Spent all day yesterday and all day today with him. Got him a new phone today with a lanyard and an all day battery.

He was doing maybe a little better today. My oldest daughter is going over there tomorrow since I have 3 doctors appointments. He almost decided to come with us but just couldn’t bring himself to do it. He is scared.

I’ll be back up there Thursday along with my Bride. By the way, it’s our thirty something anniversary. Like she said, we do what we need to do no matter what day it is!

Thanks for your prayers,

Coach

These times don’t allow for taking any breaks from prayers, my friend. Including your own doctors and prayers for their skills and wisdom in providing care for you.
I’ll continue to ask and expect a lot from our GOD.
