Scott...and all others,
Thanks for your outpouring of kind words. Not a whole helluva' lot has changed since my initial post. Time...It's gonna' take time. I have slightly less discomfort from the Hemotoma but I know it's "still there". Meds continuing, more friggin' meds and vitamins than I can count...but it's all going as expected.
Again...Thanks so much,
Capt. Chris

Thanks, Capt.

It’s worrisome when we don’t here from you for a few days!

Better news than the alternative. Hang in the Cap.

Lots of vaccinated family and friends have come down with it, recovered.

All fully vac'd and boosted, but still pretty sick.

Same old routine...isolation until testing negative.

I think the numbers say we are losing "only" about 500 people per day, don't know how many of them have been vac'd. The numbers might be available.

Makes me think I should be the only one wearing a mask when I go shopping, etc.

I see that medical workers are wearing masks, and local hospitals require incoming people to wear them.

Larry

***Well, I was wrong. the 500 number is an old number, and it was for daily deaths. Currently the CDC reports about 287 deaths per day. It sounds like a low risk, and of course it is all hypothetical until it happens to me!

Both my wife and I both have had 4 vaccines and we both got Covid. Because of my age (ancient) I could get Paxlovid via Drs prescription. But my younger wife could not. I was sick with a sore throat, headache, my wife headache and cough. I was feeling better after day 3, (took Paxlovid on day 2), my wife was better after day 5.
I have no proof that vaccines help, but my friend Lyonel, no vaccines, is no longer with us due to Covid and no underlying health issues.
IMO we will all get Covid eventually. Personally we feel that anything we can do, that is safe, and could perhaps minimize to effects of Covid is good for us.
But we also realize everyone has their own opinion, on any subject, which we respect.

For any that are interested, every Friday Dr. Paul Klotman gives an update on the covid situation. He has been doing this since the problem began. Dr. Klotman is president of Baylor College of Medicine and together with his buddy Dr. Peter Hotez, they probably know more about covid than anyone on the planet. This is no BS information and is available on a video every week if you google youtube Baylor College of Medicine.
