I have sold most of my Griswold collection these past 4 years, but along with my #6-10 Dutch ovens, the skillets on my stove for daily use are: #5, #7, #9, #6 square, and # 208 skillet-griddle. The 208 is perfect for frying tortillas and the #6 square is for grilled cheese and French toast.

Cooking with cast iron cannot be matched.
Once seasoned, cast iron will beat all that Teflon stuff hands down.

Just like wood heat, there is nothing better than food prepared over a camp fire in cast iron cookware.

My preference is towards Lodge castings but that is my preference.

Added bonus of cooking with cast iron is that it is more healthy than with aluminum and the so called modern finishes that have later to be proven not good for your health.

Rocky:

That’s some good-lookin’ Karn-bread!

And I like the square skillet too!

Give us your cornbread recipe, please. I use Pioneer white cornbread mix from San Antonio, and have to get it shipped since they don't have it in Idaho, but the Cajun cook at my old hunting camp turned me on to it.
