Tom..and others,
Blade length has nothing to do with "most" of the centers. For instance, On a Model #25-5" or a Model #25-6", or a Model #27-5 3/4" the dimensions are the same. The "center" block requires a handle measuring: 1 1/8" X 1 1/4" X 3". The smaller Model #26-4", "Pathfinder" requires a smaller piece measuring: 1" X 1" X 2 3/4". The big block required for the Model #12-9", or #12-9", #14 grind is: 1 1/4" X 1 3/8" X 3 1/2". Even though the #12 and #25 both are forged from 1/4" stock, the remaining tang steel left to install the handles are of different dimensions, thus requiring differents block sizes. These are all the most current and up-to-date specifications from the Randall shop. Hope this helps..Best, Capt. Chris

Don't know if there are changes to be made on this as it is an older date. Hope this helps.

Chief...and all others,
Here is a more recent distribution from the shop. To the best of my knowledge all this information is correct.
Thanks, Capt. Chris

If Scott or the Captain or any other dealer would verify the size chart I'd feel better about it.

Chief, how did you come by this list?
Looks OK to me except the #27 with a #25 grip is not included for the center piece size.

Was emailed to me from 2 of our forumites. But the date is 2005. Plus be nice to know if the 1/4 inch tang covers the #27

Chief, During my visit to the Randall Shop on 7/24/07 I was given the same handle material list except it does not have any hand written dimensions next to Medium Knives like the sheet posted here. The sheet I was given is dated January 8, 2007. I am going to try to post this or I can e-mail it to you if you like.

Randall Handle Material List dated January 8, 2007. Scott gave me this during a very recent visit to the Randall shop.
