Everyone,
Latest: I have completed pre-op testing to include ECHO, EKG, Stress Test, CT Scan, Blood work, etc., etc.
Good news is: I'm cleared for my surgery this upcoming Friday (Gall Bladder removal).
Bad news is: I have been diagnosed with PCC and/or PACC...(Post Covid Conditions and Post Acute Covid Conditions). They include:
* Dizziness
* Faintness
* Shortness of breath
* Nerve-related problems:
* Fingers twitching
* Arms uncontrollably shaking/convulsing
* Vision impaired unpredictably
* Slurred speech
* Ringing in the ears
* Hearing loss
* Muscle spasms
* Short-term memory loss
* Tiredness
* Rapid fatigue
* Headaches
* Effects on the brain
....The "last" is the cause of a good amount of the above.
The lovely Elizabeth has researched John Hopkins University, CDC as well as Mayo Clinic's studies and she tells me there about 20 "symptoms" of PCC and I have "all" of them!
Time period for all (or at least most) of these symptoms to be better under control should range from 2-4 years. Of course, all of these studies have only been ongoing since our "Covid-Era" and that's been a little over 2 years...so...nobody knows for sure on the timeline!
I just promised ya'll an update and, although it ain't cheery, you got one! Just typing this has taken 20 minutes with having to re-type a good bit, to do "typos" that didn't used to be there!
Bottom line appears to be this: I ain't gonna' die from it...I'm just gonna' "think" I am from time-to-time! More later.
Stay Sharp, Capt. Chris
