Happy New Year everybody, I,along with Scott, are trying to viaualize this Model #3 completed. It has "never" been done, that either one of us can remember (& that's a fair amount of knives). A "rounded" butt "end", is what it "sounds" like is being requested. Scott will check with GTR tomorrow as Gary has already left for the day. Me? Personally, I would never recommend it as I firmly believe the knife would appear "altered"...or even re-handled, being as it is so odd. I most certainly would try and talk a customer out of ordering it...but it "may" be possible. I know this is not a finite answer...but it's as good as we're gonna' get until the "pow-wow". Hope this helps, Capt. Chris
That’s a good point, Capt. It could stray out of the realm of “different” and into an area of “off-brand”.
I ended up putting a teardrop Model 3-5 on order with the in-radiused butt. I like the teardrop handles, but don’t see them on many 3’s, and I think the drop in the teardrop handle would do a lot to visually balance out the model 3’s “hump”.

It's official: Ain't gonna' happen. Aside from the points already made, GTR pointed out that it would be: "Just one more thing" to keep track of and enter into the system, etc., etc... I see his point and feel his pain. Hope this helps, Capt. Chris
A model 15 becomes a spearpoint blade when sawteeth are used an option, we use the same blade for the model 18-5 1/2 and it would take ANOTHER forging to offer a clip point w/ sawteeth, and as you mentioned, RMK already offers a model 5 with the sawteeth on the 6, 7 and 8" blades.
