I can't speak as far as the deminsions go on Ivory for your Smith, but I will (in the Capt's absense,) tell you the Gene Beal should be at the BLADE show in June, and he can supply the Ivory you need, cut to the specifications RMK requires. If you won't be at BLADE, I bet the good Capt. can still help you...

Just got back from Bama. The size required for a "Smitty" is:

1 1/2" x 1 3/4" x 5".

This will accomodate a commando or finger grip handle with no problem. Price will probably run around $550. Gene Beal or myself can help you if you have not already found a source. Hope this helps.
Best, Capt. Chris

Cost for handle shapes is the same on ivory as with other cw's.
* Standard (straight, if you will)
* Commando (No additonal charge)
* Concaved (No additional charge)
* Finger grips (LH or RH / chargeable)
* Border patrol / chargeable)
* #22 (Chargeable, unless ordered with a crow's beak butt cap)
* Model #14 (under style finger grips / chargeable)
* Single finger grip (chargeable)
Hope this helps, Capt. Chris

Does anyone know what RMK charges for a rosewood handle? Also if I order a Model 26 with a 25 handle can I get rosewood instead of Stag and what would the cost be for it?

Rosewood handle catalog price (installed) is: $40.00. A Model #25 handle on a Model #26 is an upgrade charge of $65.00. It does not matter if the hardware is brass (B-25) or nickel silver and aluminum (N-25). The cost is the same for either one. Rosewood can be substituted for stag...No additional (or very minimal) charge above the $65. Hope this helps.
Best, Capt. Chris

Cap, you wrote:

Concaved (chargeable)
When you have a chance, can you reconfirm that this handle shape is a chargeable option? It is shown on page 26 of the catalog, and states that it can be specified for Models 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 11, 12, 13, 14 CDT, 15 CDT, 19, 20, 23, and 26, but a price is not provided in the "Page 26" section of the price list.

Thanks...

Ken,
Correct. I meant to write non-chargeable. While there were models in the past in which a concaved handle was either unavailable or chargeable (Stanaback Special for one) the Model #12's were never one of those exceptions. To clarify I have edited the post to read "no additional charge". Thanks.
Best, Capt. Chris
PS: Concaved & commando are now available of my special at "N/C" also...CCS
