Pappy--

Enjoyed it!

Like...the grandkids can't read cursive. The youngest asked that we using printing in her birthday cards.

And they can't read it because they aren't taught to write it.

So, I asked me, how will the newly minted sign legal documents, checks, whatever?

OK, I have been informed that Docusign is digitized legal documentation, only have to swear it is your "signature" to have legal standing. Probably opens up opportunities for new forms of fraud.

And paper checks are now deposited via cell phone images (and we have known of some being deposited more than once...something to make people monitor their bank statements!).

Willie Shakestick had a much more enriched mind than all the mentalities immersed in today's digital mire.

You still have to put your John Hancock on the back of a paper check when you use yer phone to deposit it.

My grandson snaps a photo with his phone and deposits it that way. He gives me back the paper.

Yes, I've deposited a few that way.

You sign the back and then photograph both sides with the bank app on your phone.

Yesterday, I had a flat tire on I-20. So I eased my Airstream over to the shoulder of the road, carefully got out and reached in the side compartment I took out two cardboard men, unfolded them and stood them at the rear of my RV facing on-coming traffic. They looked so life like you wouldn't believe it! They're dressed in open trench coats that exposed their nudity to the approaching drivers.
But to my surprise, cars started slowing down to look at my lifelike men. And, of course, traffic began backing up. Everybody beeped their horns and waved like crazy. It wasn't long before a state trooper pulled up behind me.
He got out of his car and walked towards me. I could tell he was not a happy camper!
"What's going on here?"
"My Airstream has a flat tire," I said calmly.
"Well, what the heck are those obscene cardboard men doing here by the road?"
I couldn't believe that he didn't know. So I told him......
"Helloooooo, those are my emergency flashers!"
Always be prepared and safety first out there……seriously be careful. .
