Ward Gay #20 is a nice setup as well.

I think it's the least-configurable knife you can pick, so not a strong candidate for a build-by-committee.

You are right about some of the standard models. Not much room for customization on various ones.

I like the Model 8 configuration offered by Ken.

The only thing I would change would be light ambi finger grooves depending on the stag...I hate to see huge hunks of stag stuck onto petite blades.

If the stag is too large, then the Cattleman treatment could help...and that is only offered on the Stanaback Special...which is a good candidate for the build.
