You have "6" options, but only "5" chargeable options, so you are AOK. A nickel silver single hilt can be ordered with the old style "squared top" at no additional charge, except for the nickel silver single hilt. The same with a brass hilt. If a Randall knife comes with a brass single hilt the squared top can be ordered and "no" options are used up! Best, Capt. Chris

Capt.
Thanks for the help, I wasn't sure about the hilt. Thanks for clearing that up.

Captain,

As you have explained we get a model #22 handle shape for free with a crows beak butt cap, do we get this handle shape if a domed butt cap is ordered? Borrowed photo of Bill's RMK

Hi Capt.,

When you get a chance, could you cover buttcaps. I have a model 5 on order with a Border Patrol handle, duralumin buttcap. I know the buttcap gets shaped some, does that have a particular name/designation? Does it affect the shape of the B.P. handle vs. one without a buttcap? Maybe cover radiused. When does a buttcap get a nut or not? Sorry to hit you with so many questions at once. Any pics of different buttcaps from members would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone,
Josh

Josh,
Go to the "Stanaback Special", dealer knife of the week thread. Border patrol with butt caps, rounded and regular are pictured there.
The "only" butt cap that gets an "exposed" nut is any "all-leather" handle. "All" others will have no nut or an internal one.
Best, Capt. Chris

Captain, I know that this has been answered before but I can not find it through searching. On which models is the #6 grind available?

Obviously the Model #6-9", Carving Knife and the #6-4 1/2", Steak Knife, but a 5" Model #7 can also be ordered this way. A Model #4-6", but only in carbon steel. The "Denmark", "GTR" and "#22 already have this grind. Hope this helps, Capt. Chris

Thanks for answering my last question. Now one more that, hopefully, will be an easy one. What is the 2008 price on a Triathlete and the Tailor's knife?
