What is the difference between the "Catalog" Model 26 Pathfinder and the "Non-Catalog" #26-4 Pathfinder?

Both knives, in 'standard' dress, appear to have a 4" drop point blade of 3/16" stock tool steel, a single brass hilt and stag handle. Both can be ordered with the Model 25 handle configuration, and both (base models) are priced at $370.

I figure that there's some difference or distinction between the two, but I'm just not seeing it. Any clarification is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Bob

B-25 option is shown in non-catalog insert. Blades are identical. Nothing else, except this $70.00 option changes, unless you want:
* Stainless (+) another $55.00
* Thumb notches (+) another $25.00
* Wrist thong (+) another $25.00
* Etc., Etc., Etc...
Hope this helps, Capt. Chris

Found out today (direct from the shop) that the "C" sheath is not available for the 12-8 ("Bear Bowie").

I'm not upset by any measure, btw. I just wanted to share in case anyone had any plans/expectations otherwise. All good here.

Hi,

I have a question about the hilts. More precisely the reduced hilt. Is it available on any knives? Could it be possible to ask it on a randall Fireman (with a SFG).

I don't see why not but the sheath would be a problem. The keeper strap is positioned over the guard. There wouldn't be anyway to secure the knife. A pouch sheath would be better but you'd need to have it custom made.

Didn't thought about that. Do u think that it can be made by Randall shop? I like pouch sheath as those made for the R10 or even better as those made for the 25.

I believe the Model 25 sheath can only be ordered for the Model 25, and no other model. Maybe the Capt can qualify & correct my fuzzy memory.

Indeed, the "F" sheath is only available for the #25 (The Capt has confirm it to me some weeks ago). Sad that this sheath is not available with any of the knives, because I love that sheath. I was more thinking at the sheath as some model #10. The E will be great. but I have saw some model 10-3 with another pouch sheath. But, on another hand, the standart sheath will not make much problems because I always hold my knives in a pocket or in a bag. In anyway, thanks for all the answers.

I do have a question about the steel extra feature. All the knives offered in O1 are available in stainless steel. What about the opposite? The other way? I know that the 17 is only available in stainless steel but what about the #28 or the Fireman? Are they only available in stainless?
