It is shown here with aluminum & red spacers, crow's beak butt cap, wrist thong, nickel silver single hilt, thumb notches, stainless blade and a black "no hone" pocket sheath.

Is this material available on the Model 10s?

Thanks...

Mike,
It is not, at least not from the Randall shop. All of the red/blue micarta they have is in block form to be used on standard "CDT" models. Hope this helps.
Best, Capt. Chris

On knife models that have thumb notches as standard build, will the shop delete them if requested. Jerry

Randall knives that come standard with thumb notches cannot be ordered without them. I am sorry for the mis-information I spewed out there. Nobody to blame but me. I received a Model #5 without thumb notches a few years ago. Apparently that knife was a glitch, not a "doable".
You can order a Model #1 with a single hilt and that will not have thumb notches....just sayin'...
Best, Capt. Chris

"ALL" Model #5's come standard with thumb notches, regardless of blade length.

Hey everyone:
Thanks to my friend across the pond for bringing this to my attention. Even though I had received one in the past, models with thumb notches as "standard" cannot be ordered without them. I altered my original post and am posting this also so as not to confuse anyone. Sorry for the mix-up and mis-information.
Best, capt. Chris

Two questions

1) can you configure a Cattleman to look like a mini Chef's knife? ss, black micarta, red spacers and wrist thong brass single hilt

2) can you have any wood put on a model 10 as long as it is cut to size, perhaps ironwood?

Thanks Cap

Peter,
Yes to both questions, "but" (There ya' go again) you will not get the exact same hilt and handle shape as the "Chef's" knife. Their shaping is quite model specific.
Hope this helps, Capt. Chris
