My earlier offer of spalted maple still stands. But (that's just for you Capt) I understand that's a chargeable option. The black micarta would look mighty good and be very durable.
If you are going to use the knife stag works best with blood, but there's that word again, if it's going to be a safe queen then any other material would work. Just my option....

OK gang (& thanks anyway Dennis)...There was never any mention of using spalted maple (or any other handle material "NOT" supplied by the shop! In fact, I have "NO SLOTS" available for CW for the next 36 months..."AT LEAST"! SO...........Let's concentrate on the material I went to the trouble to individually list pages ago! OK? Thanks, Capt.
