Back in the day...(Good reference point meaning I don't know exactly but some time back) Squared-top single hilts were the norm. Not-so-much anymore. Photos below.

I envision I would use this knife for cleaning trout and pheasant.
The Thumb Notches (in this case trigger finger notches) would help me orient and index the blade when holding it inverted to make the initial incision.
I would not need the squared hilt to position the knife, so a rounded hilt would be a good fit.
So, with that, I vote for the rounded nickel silver single hilt.
